 The CT Department of IT announced on May 7th that Flytrap Technologies has been awarded a contract to provide VMware software to the CT Department of Transportation.

This is one of several recent State and Local Government contract awards that Flytrap has seen.

Edwin Leon, a 10 year veteran of EMC Corpration, has joined Flytrap Technologies to run operations for Latin America. His primary role will be to extend Flytrap's Virtualization Practice to Enterprise and Commercial clients in Latin America and South America. Operations will be run from Puerto Rico, and will initially be focused on personnel training and certification. All technical training for Latin American operations will involve not only classroom training, but ride-alongs with existing Principal level engineers on actual field engagements.

Edwin, a veteran of the IT world, also hold a Masters in Business from Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts. "Edwin's combination of technical vision and business skills will be a tremendous asset to Flytrap as we continue our rapid growth", says Matt Cavanagh a Flytrap partner and long time colleague of Leon. "Having worked with Edwin for years at EMC, I know what a talented and hard working individual he is and I look forward to working closely with him again".
