About Flytrap Technologies

Flytrap Technologies was founded on April 15th 2005 by former storage professionals from EMC.  With a consolidation mindset, we set about to bring technologies to market that promised to improve overall utilization in the datacenter while simplifying management.  VMware's server virtualization software was our primary focus as we saw this as a technology that would accomplish the vast majority of our goals.

Since then, we have become experts in not only server virtualization but also IP SAN implementations & migrations, branch server consolidation with WAFS and Disaster Recovery architecture and implementations.  Our larger clients include Westinghouse Electric, Deloitte & Touche, Bob's Discount Furniture, Ensign Bickford Industries, Cartus and Princeton Softech.  Headquartered in CT, we serve clients nationwide, from TX to CA to the Northeastern US.

Our goal is to continue optimizing datacenters and greatly enhancing data protection and business continuity.   For 2008, our goal is to bring the same benefits realized through server consolidation to desktops through Virtual Desktop Infrastructure.  We are continuing this effort through a series of dinner seminars hosted throughout the Northeast in Q3 and Q4 of this year.

Ultimately we see utility based computing as a reality and we intend to transition our clients to that model.
